New Kid on the Block

Skynet Press Release.png

Our Dr. Wallace E. Boston Observatory, affectionately known as "Walley," is now part of the prestigious Skynet Robotic Telescope Network, managed by the University of North Carolina. This incredible opportunity allows our Space Studies students to gain hands-on experience by selecting any celestial object they wish to study for their research projects.

In addition to "Walley," our students will have access to other telescopes worldwide that are part of this network, including the Green Bank Observatory in West Virginia, the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile, and the Astronomical Observatory of the Jagiellonian University in Poland.

Check out our Gallery for a glimpse of our telescope in action!
